It's time for our weekly post...

We're starting to see some rewards from Sam in the way of smiles and maybe some cooing. It really brightens the start of my day when I can enjoy a smile from Sam with my cup of coffee. He his last visit with our Gifford Pediatrician. We're seeing someone more like minded and closer to home. His next visit is July 10th for shots uh. He weighed 11 pounds 11 ounces on Tuesday, and by feeling in my arm, he must be twelve by now.

This coming week will be a test for us, I'm going to DC for the next week. It won't be easy for anyone. Tammy will have to write the next blog entry next weekend.

Sam met his Aunt Heather last week. She was able to fly up for business and tuck in a lunch with Tam and Sam.

Sam is sleeping fairly well. As soon as it's dark out he conks out until about midnight. After feeding he'll conk out for three hours or so then it's cluster feeding until the day begins. Tammy has been pumping so I have been able to give the relief bottle either around nine or midnight. We'll take whatever we can.

We apologize for no outdoor photos. Our peonies are putting on quite a show with flowers bigger than Sam's head. Our veggie garden is producing some early crops too, we're hoping to get grandma in to help finish the weeding. Don't worry, there isn't much to do. We'll get some outdoor photos soon.

first father's day

well, mike will have his first father's day tomorrow- he wants a slide saw from sam, but i don't think he can afford it! we cleaned the house like crazy today, then gave sam a bath in the clean sink... i took him on a walk with han and the dogs. mike worked on anner's table. kit held the boy while i weeded a bit... life is great, as he slept after date night last night from 12:30 - 4:30, snacked, then down until 6:30, all in the bassinet! grandma watched him for date night and he packed away 5 ozs of ze milk... thanks for babysitting grandma marko. we danced a wee bit at the black door to mad dub, amidst the middle aged crowd. it felt weird but good. more to follow- you're the best dad ever michael, the love in your eye when you gaze at the boy melts us both.

3 Weeks

Well it's been three weeks and I can't believe it. Everyday I get back from work he has changed. It is the truth that time with your kid(s) fly by.

We have a meet and greet with a new pediatrician tomorrow. She is a little more down to earth than our current pediatrician.

We had a baby meeting at noon yesterday. We're trying to keep up with some of the families from our birth class. Everyone has had their kids so we met with one couple yesterday. It's fun to compare fun stories and the frustrations. We passed the babies while we sat and ate. Before we knew it 3 hours had passed.

We're also happy that Chris/Hannah/Ava family are around now. It is amazing to look at Sam, three weeks old, look at Ava, 7 months old, and see the difference between the two. I can't believe how fast the little guys develop. Sam seems less fragile then before, Ava's personality is shining through. Tam and I keep waiting for some responsive smiles and can't wait to experience his personality.

We weighed him yesterday before running out and when we put him in the scale he was wiggling a bit, so the scale was bouncing between 10 and 11 pounds. Didn't dip above or below those points. Given that information we're saying he weighs 10 pounds 8 ounces. Give or take an ounce. We knew he was chunkin' up, Tam's Gram had trouble holding him for an extended amount of time.

Tam is getting back slowly to herself, she went for a really quick run yesterday and she is as beautiful as ever. Parenthood is treating her well. She plans to pump next weekend. That'll be another milestone for us.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

love
