Late July

Our son has accomplished many firsts in the last two weeks.

1st concert (we won tickets to the Paul Simon concert)
1st wedding
1st airplane rides
1st chairlift ride
1st time at elevation (highest about 11,000 feet)
1st time being in a wedding (2nd wedding)
1st round of shots
1st big boy tub with Tsue

He has made some big developmental steps in the last two weeks as well, he has started giggling, making cognitive connection between eye and hand (reaching for stuff), drooling big time, blowing bubbles, following Tsue around the house with his eyes, smiling at Wilder. He has started making a lot of different noises, we find ridiculously cute, he's really trying to find his voice and his hands.

The pictures are from our time in Colorado at Michelle's wedding and from Sunday evening when it finally brightened up in Vermont.

Tammy had her first night out with the girls saturday, it was boy time at home. Gma did some sitting while we went out for a bike sunday morning; very nice of her. Tsue is heading down south to visit her Aunt Lynda and cousin Cara in the Brattleboro area Monday as I am going further down south to work in Virginia for another week.

Hope you enjoy the photos and we wish everyone well...

well, i will continue if you don't mind my lack of capitals (t sue). we are settled in to this parenting thing, especially when mike is not in d.c.. it was a quick week as we kept busy visiting and exercising ( and working on schoolwork for 8 hours)...

yesterday we borrowed the russell albums to find some pics of baby mike. what do you know, he looks amazingly similar to our little man. there is a bit of me in there though (the round, squat face). we love seeing grandma marko looking sexy and happy with her brood. i must say michelle is absolutely adorable, and very girl looking even as a babe.

we are enjoying sun and perfect summer weather. a trip to groton might be in the works, or maybe just the pond. i hope to take a picture of the garden, it is hard while gardening with a baby in the sling (weeding). he keeps a running commentary of grunts and sighs as he plows through life. hard to capture, but in person it is loud!

well, off to start the day, he is down for his morning nap. he slept 9 to 3:15 last night, then till 6! then in my arms grunting and groaning, eating and smiling and dozing.... love that time.

we're off to paul simon tomorrow night, i won tickets on the radio (over 100 dollars worth), and his new cd, if you want a copy let me know.

love tam and samuel.

Late night post

I'm trying to keep this current, by family and my bed is calling me so it'll be a short one.

We weighed Sam on Tuesday and he is weighing in unofficially at 13 pounds. We'll be in the office Monday for his first round of shots and Thursday it's off to see Michelle and Christian getting hitched!

He's giving us lots of smiles, maybe some giggles and lots of diapers to change. His sleep patterns have been great the last week and just getting better. We hope it stays that way.

More later...
